More Felt Food - Pasta and Cookies!

Making felt food is so gratifying because it is a pretty quick project and always turns out so darn cute! It's a great project to do while watching TV. Or sometimes I'll bring it with when I babysit and do it after the kids fall asleep.

First up is my felt pasta set.

I usually hand stitch all my felt food, but I was having trouble do that with the ravioli, so this is the only one I've machine stitched. I just sewed a square, left an opening to fill it with stuffing, and then sewed it shut. Then I used my pinking shears to make the ravioli edges.

I just finished some sugar cookies, too. These are so colorful and fun.

For each cookie, I just cut out two circles for the cookie part, and then a slightly smaller, colored circle for the icing.

I added sprinkles using french knots to each icing piece. I sewed the icing to the top cookie piece, and then sewed the two cookie pieces together using a blanket stitch.
